FIRST ONE DAY
OUR MATCH WINNER
10 OVER SESSION 58-59 HAI NOT KARDO
Laying off the ground for welcoming the victorious team India, the newly-constructed Guwahati’s Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Stadium located in Barsapara is all set to take the faceoff. The ground looks more like a batting belter. Australian stand-in captain David Warner will try saving their pride while Virat Kohli and his boys are all set to take a 2-0 lead tomorrow (Tuesday, 13th Oct) giving way to their motive of a clean sweep to the Australians.
Warner added to his intentions and said, "The wicket looks fantastic. The first game being played here it's going to be a special one for both teams. Hopefully, we can get across the line and get that first victory here. Our best effort is to make the match memorable by making a wicket full of runs. We have seen this wicket favour spinners in the domestic cricket but for tomorrow, I hope it would produce a lot of runs."
One of the local curators Mukut Kalita has also added to mentioning that tomorrow’s match will be a typicalT20 bustle, full of runs. Further adding to his statement, Kalita said, "Himachal Pradesh were all out in a Rangy game for only 36 last year but Kalita blamed it on the lack of application by the Himachal batsmen. There was some rain and the wicket was under cover so it became damp. But the batsmen showed complete lack of application. We should not worry about that now. It's a sporting wicket and we hope it will be a memorable one."
He has been the part of the stadium right since its inception and the ground has been a host to domestic cricket since the last three seasons till now. He further added on mentioning the rain forecast and said they are pretty well-equipped to handle the rains and the high sand content of the soil is going to help with the drainage system, as well.
"We just cover the wicket in case it rains, that's enough as the high sand content facilitates drainage in no time."
Guwahati has been receiving rains on Monday afternoon calling off the practice session of the Indian team, but nevertheless they are all set for tomorrow. As the practice session was optional only a few mentions were spotted therein, namely- MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Kedar Jadhav, Ashish Nehra, Manish Pandey and Kuldeep Yadav.

After the massive lost of the Australian team with a score of 4-1 in the ODI series, there is another bad news coming up from the Australian Cricket Association. Australia has recently confirmed that the vice-captain David Warner is going to stand as the team captain for the upcoming three-match series, beginning today in Ranchi.
The Australian cricket team has already gone through a massive blow and this news of losing the captain Steve Smith due to the shoulder injury is a real hit on their confidence. The news was confirmed by the association confirming that the vice-captain David Warner is going to stand at the captain of the team for the three-match series. Marcus Stoinis is going to replace Smith in the Australian squad for the rest of the series. Smith is returning home expecting his health to be sound for the next month's Ashes.
The team doctor Richard Saw stated in a Cricket Australia release, "Smith landed awkwardly on his right shoulder while diving in the field during the fifth ODI against India last Sunday."
Australia had lost their fifth ODI in Nagpur by 7 wickets as the Indians won with a lead of 4-1 series over the world champions reclaiming their no.1 rank in the ICC rankings.
"Following the match he complained of shoulder soreness, which has not settled and is restricting his ability to bat and throw. Subsequently he has had an MRI scan which has excluded serious injury, but we believe the best course of action is for him to not continue to aggravate his shoulder and allow it to recover," Australians further added.
Smith is expected to turn up with his action filled performance in the domestic Sheffield Shield competition.
"He will have further investigation upon his return to Australia but we remain confident he will be available for the start of the Sheffield Shield season," Australians said.
Smith had attended the Australian practice on this Friday after which he couldn’t show off due to his shoulder setback on the second day. It is going to be a difficult day for Warner to get some pride in the current league to receive come confidence for the next month's Ashes.
